Community and Growth Lead
About the job
About Us
We partner with and invest in technology companies to build and launch category-defining products. We help founders move fast – and put capital behind the teams and ideas we believe in most.
Now, we’re looking for a Community & Events Lead to scale our platform efforts with someone who is fully immersed in the growth stage (Series A+) venture, startup, and tech ecosystems and excited about the intersection of brand, relationships, and impact.
What You’ll Do
Build Community
Design and execute a cohesive community strategy that engages our network of founders, operators, investors, and advisors
Create high-signal digital and in-person touchpoints that offer value.
Own CRM and community engagement tools; track interactions and maintain a vibrant, mapped network.
Identify and connect with new or experimental audiences, including Private Equity, Family Offices, CTOs, CPOs, and more.
Lead Events Strategy
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to conceptualize, plan, and execute events ranging from curated dinners to panels, happy hours, and demo days.
Source sponsors and external partners to bring brand-aligned events to life.
Research high-value industry conferences and make the case for team attendance or sponsorship.
Manage budgets, timelines, vendors, logistics, and KPIs tracking
Create KPIs and own reporting of all events and activation initiatives to showcase ROI and learnings from experimental formats.
Amplify Our Platform
Work with the marketing team to translate events and community insights into content, thought leadership, and strategic outreach across social channels and our website.
Partner with our Investment and Sales teams to support deal flow and portfolio visibility through curated community efforts.
Identify and lead ecosystem partnerships that align with our mission and elevate our studio's profile.
You Might Be a Fit If You…
Have 4-6 years of experience in community, events, partnerships, or platform roles at a VC, communities, or high-growth startup.
Are deeply plugged into the NYC startup scene and can name 10 Series A+ founders you’d invite to a dinner off the top of your head.
Act like a startup. You are scrappy and know how to experiment (and show results) with limited budget (e.g., find sponsors to cover food and drink, know people with event space we can borrow, have contacts at companies that might have larger sponsorship budget, etc.)
Thrive in fast-moving environments and love making things happen with limited resources.
Are equal parts strategic and executional (aka big thinker, detail oriented).
