    Job Description

The Community Engagement Director is responsible for organizing, supporting, and strengthening local groups of volunteers, including youth-driven groups and adult support groups. These groups focus on creating, organizing, and supporting activities and programs for youth ages 11–24 within the communities DuCAP serves. This role centers on engaging both youth and adult volunteers in the building and direction of meaningful, youth-centered opportunities. While many initiatives are led locally, DuCAP provides professional guidance and support where additional structure or coordination is needed.

    About the Company

DuPage County Area Project (DuCAP) is a community-based nonprofit working across seven communities in DuPage and Will counties. We partner with neighborhoods, schools, and local leaders to support the youth and families through programs rooted in connection and collaboration.

At DuCAP, youth take the lead in shaping programs and opportunities that matter to them, while adults provide guidance, stability, and support. This teen-led, adult-supported approach helps ensure programs are responsive, inclusive, and grounded in the needs of each community.

Collaborate with DuCAP leadership and staff to strengthen community-based efforts
