Validate accepted community answers by checking what was confirmed, the conditions in which the advice works and who will maintain it. An accepted marker is useful evidence of a discussion's outcome, but it does not establish universal accuracy. Review an answer before promoting it into documentation, training or other reusable customer guidance.
A customer shares a workaround that solves their immediate problem. Months later, someone copies it into an onboarding resource without the original qualifications. The advice now looks official, although nobody has checked whether it still applies or suits the new audience.
Separate acceptance from verification
First establish what the accepted marker means in your community. The original author may have confirmed that a suggestion worked. A moderator may have selected the most plausible reply. A system may apply a status after a workflow event. These are different signals, and the reviewer should know which one is present before interpreting it.
