Managing unanswered customer community questions means finding requests without useful progress, assigning a next action and keeping ownership visible. Review the queue by customer consequence and waiting time, then clarify, connect or escalate each request. Record unresolved outcomes honestly instead of treating a quick acknowledgement as a solution.
A discussion with no replies is easy to spot. A discussion with several replies that leave the customer equally stuck is easier to miss. Your response routine needs to find both, otherwise a healthier-looking dashboard can conceal the same unresolved work.
Define what unanswered really means
Use a definition based on the customer's progress. A question may have no response, a response requesting clarification or several suggestions that have not worked. Those states need different action. Grouping them all as answered after the first reply removes the distinction that makes an operational queue useful.
