Peer review helps customers improve an implementation plan by testing its assumptions, dependencies and decisions with people who have relevant experience. Set a narrow review purpose, share only appropriate information and use clear feedback criteria. Keep final decisions with the plan owner and route specialist approval through the organisation's established process.
A plan can look complete because every activity has a date. A peer may notice that one activity depends on a decision nobody has made. A well-designed review creates space for that observation without suggesting that another customer's experience can certify the plan.
Define what the review can and cannot decide
Start by choosing the decision the review should improve. The owner might want feedback on the order of a rollout, the assumptions behind a pilot or the readiness of a handoff. Asking peers to review everything produces a large, unfocused conversation and makes it difficult to judge whether the exercise helped.
