Job Summary
The Manager of Community Programs and Development will support ADWEEK's Marketing Vanguard initiative, focusing on building and nurturing a high-value community of C-level marketing executives and senior decision-makers. This role combines tactical audience development, community engagement, and event execution to help create a thriving ecosystem of industry leaders. Based in New York City, the ideal candidate will be a relationship-builder with strong communication skills who can effectively connect with executive-level professionals while supporting membership growth and engagement across multiple touchpoints. This role will be based in NYC and will report to the VP of Community Programs and Development.
Participant Development and Outreach
Identify, research, and help build a targeted database of C-level marketing executives and senior decision-makers
Develop and execute a strategic outreach plan to engage potential VIP participants in events and membership, using a combination of personalized invitations, digital marketing, and relationship-building tactics
Lead outreach efforts for Marketing Vanguard Summit, Inspiration Excursions and members-only gatherings
Maintain and update RSVP and attendance records to ensure event and membership goals are met
Provide ongoing feedback to Marketing Vanguard leadership on participant engagement trends and opportunities
Community Marketing
Foster a sense of community among Marketing Vanguard members by creating touchpoints for ongoing engagement and connection
Manage member communications tools
Collaborate with ADWEEK's editorial and marketing teams to develop tailored content that resonates with and brings value to members
Coordinate and support development of marketing campaigns, ensuring messaging aligns with Marketing Vanguard's brand voice and objectives
Event Support and Execution
Assist in the planning, promotion, and execution of Marketing Vanguard's Inspiration Excursions, Summit, and other key events
Serve as a point of contact for VIP attendees, addressing any questions and providing support to ensure a seamless and engaging experience
Attend events, both virtual and in-person, to facilitate networking opportunities and strengthen relationships with key executives
Collect feedback post-events to inform future programming and product and enhance the attendee experience
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in community building, audience development, or relationship management
Experience engaging with senior decision-makers
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience supporting event planning and execution
Working knowledge of email marketing platforms (Iterable, Outreach) and CRM systems
Detail-oriented team player with ability to execute tasks independently
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
