8:30am - 12:30pm, Monday to Friday (20 hours per week) £15.00 per hour Flexible role with access to our co-working community and member benefits
Are you a people person who thrives on variety, loves building relationships, and enjoys creating memorable experiences?
We're looking for a Community Manager to become the face of Lifework Communities during our busiest morning hours and help shape a vibrant, welcoming environment for our members.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate, freelancer, self-employed professional, consultant, or someone seeking flexible part-time work, offering the opportunity to work within a thriving business community while still having time to focus on your own projects and commitments.
At Lifework, creativity, collaboration and connection are at the heart of everything we do. We bring together freelancers, start-ups, remote workers, and established businesses in a space designed to help people do their best work while feeling part of something bigger.
What You'll Be Doing
As Community Manager, you'll play a central role in ensuring our space runs smoothly while fostering a thriving community. Your responsibilities will include: • Creating an outstanding experience for members and visitors from the moment they arrive. • Managing day-to-day morning operations, including bookings, communications, invoicing, and administration. • Supporting members with technology and workspace needs. • Co-ordinating events, workshops, speakers, and our monthly Community Days. • Growing engagement both in person and online through social media and marketing activity. • Writing creative content for social media, newsletters, and website updates. • Working closely with our founders on projects that support the growth of the business.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is: • A confident multitasker and natural problem solver. • Friendly, approachable, and skilled at building relationships. • Experienced in hospitality, events, customer service, community management or a similar role. However, we're equally interested in enthusiastic individuals with transferable skills and the right attitude. • A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills. • Passionate about people, community, and sustainability. • Happy to get involved in all aspects of daily life at Lifework. • Able to travel independently due to our rural location. • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
Why This Role Could Be Perfect for You
This position has been designed with flexibility in mind. Whether you're running your own business, freelancing, consulting, studying or balancing other commitments, you'll finish at lunchtime with the rest of the day available to you.
As part of the Lifework community, you'll also have the opportunity to continue using the workspace after your contracted hours when needed, giving you access to a professional working environment and a valuable network of local businesses, entrepreneurs and potential collaborators.
For freelancers and self-employed professionals, this role offers more than a part-time income. It provides a base within a thriving business community where opportunities, referrals, partnerships, and meaningful connections are made every day.
What We Offer • Dog friendly space, bring them to work! • A varied and creative role where no two days are the same. • The opportunity to connect with inspiring individuals and businesses. • A supportive and collaborative team environment. • Access to a thriving professional community. • Flexibility that works alongside your own business or professional pursuits. • The chance to make a genuine impact on our community and the future of the business.
Benefits • Pro-rata holiday entitlement plus bank holidays. • Free access to all Lifework events and networks. • The opportunity to use the co-working space outside of contracted hours. • Discount at Hartley Farm Shop and Restaurant. • Discounted sauna sessions at Campwell Farm. • Staff membership with Rustiq Fitness. • Free parking.
