Led by Community Guidelines
How we co-create a space where community builders connect, learn, and grow together.
π Welcome
We're so excited to have you here!
Led by Community is a global ecosystem of community builders who come together to share ideas, ask questions, and support one another. Whether you're leading communities, just starting out, or simply curious about this field β you belong here.
These guidelines exist to help us keep this space kind, inclusive, and valuable for everyone. They're not a list of rules β they're an agreement on how we want to show up for one another.
π± Our Purpose
We believe community is where connection turns into collaboration, and where people and ideas grow stronger together.
Led by Community exists to:
- Help community professionals learn, connect, and evolve together.
- Create meaningful conversations that inspire growth and progress.
- Celebrate the impact of communities and the people who build them.
- Foster a culture of generosity, curiosity, and joy.
We're here to make community building easier, smarter, and more human.
π« Our Core Principles
Here's what guides how we show up, engage, and co-create this space:
- Kindness first: lead with empathy, respect, and openness.
- Generosity of knowledge: share your insights, resources, and questions. We all grow faster when we learn together.
- Everyone belongs: our members come from different places, backgrounds, and time zones. Diversity makes this space richer.
- Celebrate often: wins (and lessons learned!) are better when shared.
- Keep it useful: share what's relevant and valuable to the community.
π¬ How to Engage
This is your space β so make it yours! Here's what helps keep it flowing with good energy and purpose:
We encourage:
- Asking thoughtful questions or sharing your perspective.
- Contributing resources, stories, or opportunities that help others.
- Cheering for others' work and milestones.
- Joining events, discussions, or rituals at your own pace.
- Sharing your offerings or projects in our weekly Slack thread.
We don't allow:
- Spam, cold outreach, or excessive self-promotion outside the dedicated thread.
- Discrimination, harassment, or exclusionary behavior of any kind.
- Sharing private messages or screenshots without consent.
- Irrelevant or disruptive content.
Let's keep our conversations kind, purposeful, and full of genuine curiosity. β¨
πͺ Our Spaces
Led by Community lives across two main homes: our Hub and Slack. They work together to help you connect, learn, and grow β just in different ways.
The Hub:
This is where you'll find everything that fuels your community journey:
- About: learn more about who we are, what we do, and meet the team.
- Events: see the full calendar of upcoming sessions and meetups.
- Jobs: browse roles and opportunities for community pros.
- Resources: explore articles, playbooks, and community stories.
- Chapters: join in-person meetups and local initiatives.
Tip: the Hub is also where you can share your own stories, suggest resources, and discover new tools in the community library.
Slack:
This is where daily conversations, questions, and spontaneous connections happen.
Here's where to start:
- #get-started: tips and first steps to help you navigate Slack.
- #meet-the-builders: introduce yourself using the pinned prompts.
- #discussions: share ideas, ask questions, and spark conversations.
- #builders-rituals: join our weekly check-ins and rituals.
- #jobs-opportunities: share or discover roles and collaborations.
- #led-by-events: stay in the loop about upcoming sessions and meetups.
Tip: threads help keep conversations neat and easy to follow β we love a well-threaded chat!
π οΈ Moderation & Accountability
Our community team helps keep this space safe, welcoming, and constructive. If a post or behavior doesn't align with our guidelines, we'll step in with empathy and understanding. Our first approach is always to start a conversation β not to punish, but to listen and guide things back to a positive path.
Repeated or serious violations may lead to content removal or, in rare cases, removal from the community β but that's never the goal. We're here to support growth and learning.
π Need Help or Have Questions?
We've got you! If you ever feel uncomfortable, notice something that doesn't align with our guidelines, or simply have a question about how things work, please reach out.
You can message Francisco, PaΓ΄la, or Tali directly on Slack, or email us at paola@ledby.community. We're happy to help, clarify, or point you in the right direction.
π Final Note
Led by Community is what it is because of you. Every message, question, and connection helps shape this space into something more meaningful.
Thanks for being part of it β and for helping us build a community where people lead with kindness and learn together every day.
